The short answer is no. The longer answer is yes, if you understand how the system works.
The supported distributed systems at this time are:
- Chef-Backend HA
- AWS Native
Custom installs that do not follow published documentation lie outside the bounds of support.
Specifically, multiple Chef Server instances connected to different external AWS RDS and Elasticsearch regions with clients alternately hitting one or the other region is not a workable approach, as those requests' effects will not be synced between the Postgres and Elasticserach data stores properly.
